Rick joined Midnight Riders when original co-founder and lead guitarist Ray Pratley left the band in June 1998.
Rick has numerous awards to his name including: 1st 1992 and 1995 Hunter Valley Country Music Championships, Best Instrumentalist in the Lakes Country Music Championships, Best overall 1992 and 1993 Glenfield Easter Country Music Championships, 1st 1996/1997 and 1998 lllabo Country Music Stampede.Rick was long time lead player for Boots and Co and also sings in Spanish. He has since left the band to follow other interests.
